1972, Trang Bang, South Vietnam --- Vietnamese children flee from their homes in the South Vietnamese village of Trang Bang after South Vietnamese planes accidently dropped a napalm bomb on the village
"If you don't study history, you will be manipulated." -Malcolm X
The Cries from the killing is senseless. Five years after the U.S. invasion of Iraq,
President Bush denied that the there’s any link between the faltering U.S. economy
and $10 billion a month being spent on the Iraq war.
That women and children suffer the most during times of war is not a new phenomenon. It is a reality as old as war itself. "collateral damage" is the "inexcusable murder of and other irreparable harm done to women, children and the elderly during any military offensive"
I doubt democracy has anything to do with it, when US foreign policy in the Middle East manifests itself most starkly in its impact on the children of Iraq, who continue to pay with their lives and futures for the brutal follies of our administration.
We must acknowledge our most pressing needs, concerns outside of ourselves that span the world we live in.
To the millions of children whose minds hold tremendous potential:
"Diamond, you are so beautiful.
You can change this world if you want to"

Forward Progress
