With the '08 NBA Championship rings dispersed to the Boston Celtics, what's an Angelinian supposed to do? That never lose hope spirit, it aint over mantra ended short on Tuesday, with Game 5. One 131-92 annihilation of the Los Angeles Lakers later, and it was a wrap! What was the biggest game of the season looked like an embarassing display of a broken team. And I aint gonna front- the Celtics defense really is the best in the game, with Garnett (26pts), Allen (26pts), and Pierce (17pts). But the LA buses that tour the city with "Kobe Diem" sprawled on its exterior leave us to wonder- where was our MVP? His hot hand in the first quarter soon vanished, and the shot off the dribble was not enough to establish a solid foundation. Plus, Gasol & Odom did not come hard enough to meet the all-around phenomenal peformance & defense as set by the Celtics. I urge Lakers management (who slept on Garnett - on the market last year) to re-strategize its defensive artillery, and look to Bynam to strengthen it for next year. We comin' back baby!
